The Crafty Side of Mommy

Ok...soooo, I have become quite addicted to a new website called Pinterest. I know, I know, I'm way behind on this. I am sure you have all heard of it years ago, but most of the time I'm somewhere in my own little bubble of mommyland so you have to excuse my "behindness". However, I LOVE IT! It has helped me become a much craftier person than I would have been before AND it has helped my decorating skills as well. (OK, so I might be exaggerating a little since I have only made one of the things so far..but I'm super busy and super broke, so give me a break!) Here is a picture of the one thing I have made......but I PROMISE I plan to make more!!! I even have a board called "DO NOW".

On another crafty note, I have really started doing a LOT of sewing and monogramming. I got my machine a while ago and was so intimidated by it. I finally decided to learn. I started posting a few things on Facebook and the orders started pouring in! I love that, by the way so if you are reading this, keep them coming!! I'm going to post a few pictures of my stuff on here so maybe it will be another way of advertising!

Another crafty side to me is the cakes that I make with a friend of mine, Miranda Smith. We started this about a year ago. I have wanted to make cakes all my life and just one day decided to try. It ended up being something I loved and something that was quite therapeutic to me! We sell these cakes and price them according to the size, toppings, and decor.
